What is ISR?

ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) teaches babies and toddlers what to do if they end up in the water: get to their back, float, rest and breathe.

How lessons work

  • Private, one-on-one lessons
  • 10 minutes a day, Monday to Friday
  • About 6 weeks, at your child's own pace
  • For ages 6 months to 6 years
  • You watch from poolside every day

Babies learn to roll onto their back, float, rest and breathe.

Toddlers learn to swim, roll onto their back to float and breathe, then swim again.

What to expect

  1. Some tears are normal at first. It's a new place and a new skill. Most little ones settle in as they get comfortable.
  2. Safety checks every single day. We ask about sleep, eating and health before each lesson, and adjust when needed.

Will ISR make my child water safe?

No child is ever "drown-proof". ISR teaches self-rescue skills, which are one layer of protection alongside close supervision, pool fences and life jackets.
